Floor Technician - Schools

About the role

Join Platinum Cleaning & Facility Services (PCFS), a division of Healthcare Services Group, Inc., as a Floor Technician. You will oversee janitorial cleaning and facilities maintenance operations at your assigned school site, delivering exceptional service and maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments. Floor Technicians perform day-to-day cleaning tasks related to flooring in common areas, classrooms, and other spaces.

Responsibilities

• Machine scrub floors
• Strip and wax floors
• Spot cleaning and full carpet extraction/shampooing
• Project work such as cleaning lights, lamps, and window washing
• Assist with work orders as needed
• Cover additional cleaning tasks when employees call off
• Clean stairwells, signage, elevators, and landing areas
• Assist with checking classrooms and common areas
• Use miscellaneous flooring equipment as needed

Requirements

• Ability to adapt and work as a team to ensure tasks, projects, and work orders are completed on time
• Polite and respectful interaction with clients, guests, and co-workers
• Some experience is preferred
• Ability to learn how to operate heavy equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers
• Must be 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift items of up to 35 lbs while moving around
• Perform physical duties such as climbing ladders, lifting, and bending
• Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing and walking
