FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Location: Miami Jewish Health – 5200 Northeast 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33137

Schedule

Full-time, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, rotating weekdays and weekends. Days may vary. Further details upon interview.

Pay

Fixed pay rate: $17.00 per hour.

About the role

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large areas of floor surface
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface extraction, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

• Prior floor care experience in a healthcare setting required
• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
