Floor Technician

About the role

Floor Technicians at Velociti are responsible for maintaining hard surfaces and carpet throughout various areas including offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and break rooms.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use
• Secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users
• Care for floors, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells
• Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery
• Wall cleaning
• Dusting (high and low)
• Routine restroom cleaning
• Routine office and break room cleaning
• Maintenance of floor care equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in floor care
• Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance
• Experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers
• Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred
• A solid commitment to the guest experience
• Ability to stand 33%, walk >66%, sit, use hands to finger, handle, rub, grip, and feel, reach above shoulders, push/pull and grasp with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, perform repetitive tasks, push and pull a minimum of 30 pounds, lift a minimum of 10 to 50 pounds, frequently lift 0-10 pounds, and work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods

Qualifications

• Two forms of current ID's
• Cell phone and willingness to download the company app to clock in and out
