Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring optimum property floor cleanliness and presentation. This is an overnight position scheduled to work 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Cleaning, maintaining, and repairing all floors throughout Main and auxiliary buildings.
- Cleaning, sweeping, mopping, buffing, waxing, vacuuming, or shampooing all required flooring.
- Refinishing by removing old flooring, preparing surfaces for new flooring, and installing new floor materials and or floor chemicals.
- Operating equipment such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors and other machines.
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring that supplies are clean and in good condition.
- Moving furniture, appliances or equipment and performing light window and wall cleaning.
- Following the checklists and guidelines for efficient and clean operation of assigned areas.
- Keeping an inventory of equipment for each floor area.
- Keeping log of schedules for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Aids in the maintenance of all storage areas, equipment maintenance, and chemical labeling.
- Monitoring equipment condition and using all equipment correctly to ensure that it is properly maintained.
- Attending and participating in pre-shift briefings, arriving on time.
- Adhering to OSHA and Hazardous Communications safe work practices.
- Resolving problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommending courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume hospitality environment.
- Excellent guest services skills for external and internal guests.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to six months of experience in related field.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- The Team Member will be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The Team Member may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The Team Member may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and vibration.
- The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, flashing lights, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
