Floor Technician

Maintain the flooring

• Daily: Dust mop halls.
• Quarterly and yearly: Perform deep cleaning tasks.
• Spot mop when necessary.
• Scrub halls 3-4 times a week using an automatic scrubber.
• Vacuum carpets daily.
• Strip, wax, and buff VCT flooring as needed.
• Spot clean carpets as needed.
• Stripping, waxing, and buffing VCT floors as required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or technical school graduate.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals.
• Knowledge of safety regulations.
• Knowledge of supplies and equipment used by the department and their proper care.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients.
