Floor Technician

Sweeping, Mopping, Scrubbing, and Cleaning

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, cafeterias, bathrooms, hallways and stairwells.
• Carpets and upholstery cleaning.
• Strips and waxes tile floors, concrete, terrazzo, and LVT flooring.

Competencies Required

• Able to work with various cleaning tools including single discs, boost machines, wet/dry vacuums, ride-on floor machines, squeegees, mops and buckets, razor floor scrapers, doodle bugs, buffing machines, and numerous stripping/waxing chemicals.
• Experienced in removing old wax, neutralizing floors, and applying new wax using different methods.
• Able to adapt to and handle adverse flooring conditions.
• Able to complete tasks efficiently according to crew leader, supervisor, or project manager's directions.
• Able and willing to maintain and account for all cleaning equipment.
• Responds promptly to customer needs and requests.
• Communicates effectively, listens well, and responds to questions.
• Shows respect and sensitivity towards cultural differences and promotes a harassment-free environment.
• Follows safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials correctly.
• Attends work on time and performs tasks carefully to avoid damaging surfaces, walls, and furniture.
