Floor Technician

About the role

A Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and cleaning floors, including carpets and hard surfaces, on the property. Duties involve cleaning, repairing, and refinishing floors using specialized equipment and cleaning solutions. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to operate floor cleaning machines, and adherence to safety procedures. The position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
• Operating floor cleaning machines such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors.
• Adhering to safety guidelines and reporting maintenance issues.
• Performing tasks such as carpet spotting, bonnet cleaning, and extracting.
• Assisting with other cleaning duties as needed, including dusting, cleaning walls, and furniture.
• Maintaining an inventory of floor areas, scheduling cleaning duties, and reporting maintenance needs to supervisors.

Requirements

• Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work in an environment subjected to varying levels of heat and noise, depending on customer volume.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees.
• Stand for extended periods and lift heavy equipment.
• Organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing instructions.
• Work in cramped quarters with attention to detail.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies, and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.

Pay

Starting from USD $16.00/Hr. (Tipped Position)
