Floor Technician

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of all resilient flooring and carpets installed throughout the community. You will oversee, inventory, and maintain all cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Strip, seal, and wax all resilient flooring installed throughout the campus.
• Mop, buff, burnish, and restore flooring as scheduled or as needed.
• Clean, vacuum, and maintain all carpeting installed throughout the community.
• Prepare carpeting for spot treatments, extraction, shampooing, or bonnet cleaning as scheduled or needed.
• Remove and destroy general trash as well as bio-hazardous and infectious waste from collection areas as specified by local and state regulations.
• Organize and keep inventory of all supplies and equipment.
• Keep all department equipment clean and in good operating condition.
• Assist with keeping the community safe, neat, orderly, and aesthetically pleasing by picking up loose garbage and daily removal of waste from garbage cans.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as community and local/state policies dictate.
• Maintain a record/file of services performed by room number/ID and date.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required; vocational school certification preferred.
• Prior floor cleaning and/or janitorial experience preferred but not required.

Pay

USD $20.00 – $24.00 per hour.
