Responsibilities
- Remove spots from carpets
- Perform bonnet and extraction carpet cleaning
- Dispose of trash
- Operate floor sweepers, back pack vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums
- Protect residents and visitors by keeping floors free from dirt and debris
- Mindful of slip, trip, and fall hazards
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred
- Previous floor maintenance experience operating commercial floor care equipment
- Completion of on-the-job training
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating commercial floor care equipment (auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors)
- Janitorial or facilities maintenance experience in healthcare, senior living, or hotel environment strongly preferred
- Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other areas
- Moving furniture before and after cleaning
- Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors
- Maintaining and storing equipment and PPE proficiently
- Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor
