Floor Technician

Job Description

Operate various types of equipment used for floor care maintenance such as automatic scrubbers, floor machines, wet/dry vacuums, burnishers, vacuums, sweepers, pressure wash equipment and carpet extractors
Dust mop; clean and burnish floors; strip, refinish, scrubs and/or recoat floors; machine scrub floors according to floor maintenance schedules
Prioritize and coordinate with other workers as needed to complete floor care work within the overall scope of multi-trade projects
Provide daily preventive equipment maintenance on all equipment used
May be required to adjust alignment of squeeze blade, replace squeeze blade, hose replacement, and clear clogged hoses
Tag equipment for major repairs, and advise supervisor
Assist supervisor with inventory, order supplies and ensure the use of chemicals and equipment is consistent with established safety standards and practices
Assist the supervisor in the training of new employees in proper floor care methods and procedures according to company policy
Assist with general cleaning duties as needed by supervisor

Qualifications (must Have)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience or training in a floor technician type position
• On the job training will be provided
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions effectively
