FLOOR TECHNICIAN

About the role

The role involves maintaining and upkeeping carpet and hard surface floors in various buildings and facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning and dusting furniture, fixtures, floors, and equipment, as well as performing tasks like sweeping, raking, cutting grass, and replacing blinds. This position is suitable for those with limited experience or those returning to the workforce after a break.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notifies Manager of the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Cleans and dusts furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Washes and replaces blinds.
• Sweeps walks, rakes leaves, cuts grass, removes snow, or performs other incidental seasonal tasks.
• Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
• Serves, cleans, and supplies restrooms.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required and on-the-job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.
• Preferred: Customer service experience, 1 year of similar work experience.
