About the role
The position performs floor cleaning and restoration services throughout assigned facilities within Campus Operations, a major unit in the Administration and Finance Division of ECU. Campus Operations supports all University real property, including buildings, infrastructure, and grounds across Main, Health Sciences, West Research Campuses, and satellite locations.
Responsibilities
- Strip and refinish floors
- Clean, scrub, and maintain a variety of hard floor surfaces
- Operate orbital scrubbers and other floor care equipment for scheduled and restorative maintenance
- Perform carpet maintenance, including bonnet cleaning and extraction
- Coordinate work with team members and supervisors to ensure floor care services meet departmental standards
Requirements
- Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work
- Valid NC Driver’s License (preferred)
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Most positions require employees to live and work in North Carolina or within a reasonable daily commuting distance from their duty station after hire
Pay
Recruitment range: $33,540 - $41,725 per year
Anticipated hiring range: $33,540 - $35,584 per year

Full-time position (1.0 FTE)
Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., but may vary
