About the role
Accela Rehab & Care Center at Somerton is hiring a Floor Technician to join our team in Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain floors in resident rooms, hallways, common areas, and other designated spaces.
- Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and infection control guidelines to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and facility policies.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
- Assist with additional custodial duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in floor care, custodial work, or a similar role; experience in a healthcare or long-term care environment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
- Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling light equipment.
