Summary
The primary responsibility of the Floor Supervisor is to support the Production Manager with planning, organizing, and controlling all production activities to ensure goods are produced safely, cost-effectively, timely, and to the required quality standards as set forth by the company. Additionally, the Floor Supervisor will serve as a backup in the event the Production Manager is not available.
Responsibilities
- Support production by creating and monitoring production schedules.
- Report any issues with materials or production to the management team.
- Train current and new employees on various machines and job functions.
- Assist in opening and closing the warehouse or facilities as needed.
- Enforce lunch and break policies in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct bi-weekly supply inventories on various materials.
- Manage and control inventory levels of both raw materials and finished products by performing daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts.
- Provide accurate and timely weekly and monthly inventory reports to the Operations Director.
- Ensure warehouse staff conduct their work in a safe, efficient, and responsible manner.
- Monitor employee performance, provide employee reviews, and implement changes as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on experience, skills, and business needs.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (required).
- 2-year associate degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Manufacturing and/or construction management experience.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet objectives.
- General office skills.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
- Periods of standing, walking, body rotation, bending, and/or squatting.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk in front of a computer screen.
- Prolonged use of a computer and looking at a computer screen.
- Repetitive movements associated with using a keyboard, trackpad, and/or mouse.
- Lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal to high volumes of stress.
