About the Role
Floor Staff team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. The primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Floor Staff may be scheduled to work in the Concession Stand or as an Usher and must act as a representative of Regal consistent with our mission statement and policies.
Responsibilities
Concession
- Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons with accuracy.
- Upsell and suggestively sell Premium Viewing Experiences (3D, RPX, IMAX).
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
- Respond to phone calls and guest questions in line with guest service philosophy.
- Manage concession stock inventory.
- Operate, prepare, and clean all concession-related equipment.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws.
- Abide by federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods.
- Maintain required alcohol certification and training where applicable.
- If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, must be of legal age according to state or local laws.
Usher
- Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums.
- Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
- Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats.
- Enforce the MPAA rating system.
- Conduct in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and maintain a safe environment.
- Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management.
- Perform in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
- Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby, hallways, and other areas.
- Monitor the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Handle emergency situations when called upon.
- Perform general cleaning duties.
- Comply with company dress code.
- Read and understand training materials covering subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
Requirements
- Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress toward completion.
- If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, complete legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate, plus Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.

Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
