Floor Staff - Hourly Rate: $17.00

About the Role

Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. The primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. All team members must act as representatives of Regal in a way consistent with our mission statement and policies, including regular attendance, handling emergency situations, performing general cleaning duties, and complying with the company dress code.

Responsibilities

• Box Office
  • Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons with accuracy.
  • Upsell and suggestively sell Premium Viewing Experiences (3D, RPX, IMAX).
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
  • Respond to phone calls and guest questions in line with guest service philosophy.
• Concession
  • Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed coupons, and concession stock inventory accurately.
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession-related equipment.
  • Upsell and suggestively sell products.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws.
  • Abide by federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
  • If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, must be of legal age according to state or local laws.
• Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums.
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats.
  • Enforce the MPAA rating system.
  • Conduct in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, prevent theft, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management.
  • Perform in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed.
  • Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain restrooms, lobby, hallways, and other areas.
  • Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Required to read and understand training materials covering subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
• Education/Experience:
  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier, or progress toward completion, is required.
  • If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, must complete legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate, as well as complete Regal Responsible Beverage Server training.
• Language Ability: Good public speaking skills, effective listening, and clear, direct responses.
• Math Ability: Perform calculations quickly and accurately, identify and correct errors.
• Reasoning Ability: Identify problems, gather relevant data, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, and reach evidence-based conclusions. Act beyond basic requirements under pressure or opposition.
• Personal Skills: Excellent communication with customers, co-workers, and management. Ability to establish goals, budget time, and set priorities.
• Physical Demands:
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • May occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

$17.00 hourly
