FLOOR JANITOR 2ND SHIFT $18 PER HOUR WITH $1 SHIFT DIFERRENTIAL

About the role

JBS USA is seeking an hourly Floor Janitor for their 2nd Shift Team Member position. The role starts at $18 per hour with a $1 shift differential. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting
• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area
• Set up, stock, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
• Maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas
• Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas
• Operate heavy equipment
• Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard
• Perform other duties as needed or as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
• Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Adeptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others
• Maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
• Strong desire to work hands-on work environment
• Good attendance and safety records
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Work Environment

• Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment
• Production and maintenance settings
• Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives
• Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling
• Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
• Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers
• Acute close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day with a partner
• Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold
• Employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays
