Floor Care Tech - Full-Time, AM Shift

About the role

We are looking for an energetic floor technician to maintain clean and sanitary floors across our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, hallways, common areas, and other spaces
• Move furniture before and after cleaning
• Dust, wet mop, strip, wax, and buff floors
• Remove spots from carpets and perform bonnet and carpet extraction cleaning
• Dispose of trash and assist with hazardous waste collection
• Operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums
• Wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment
• Use hand and power tools such as floor polishers, vacuum cleaners, mops, and floor strippers
• Inspect floors for damage and carry out minor repairs
• Measure and label chemicals correctly, and operate chemical dispensing units
• Clean, maintain, and store equipment and PPE proficiently
• Keep an inventory of floor areas and schedule cleaning and maintenance duties
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred
• Prior professional janitorial or cleaning experience
• Prior floor care experience preferred
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify used)
