FLOOR CARE SPECIALIST- PART TIME

About the role

Performs daily routine and project floor care, including operating floor care equipment. Maintains the healthcare environment in a clean, sanitary and attractive condition for customers and employees utilizing various tools and through operation of powered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Routine floor care includes mopping, stripping and refinishing, scrubbing and burnishing resilient and hard floors, carpet shampoo and extraction.
• Baseboard cleaning.
• Setup / tear down for events within the hospital and at off sites.
• Delivery / pickup of rental beds and mattresses within the hospital.
• Hanging room curtains.
• Any additional deep cleaning / large project needs.
• Comply with all hospital/department policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Cognitive ability to function and concentrate on the essential and specialty functions of the job at a high level.
• Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing an essential or specialty function of the job.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• One (1) year of experience in floor care or project work.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
• Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
