Holland Home is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Care Specialist to join our team at our Raybrook Manor campus.

Today, Holland Home is one of Michigan’s largest nonprofit providers of senior services, employing over 1,100 people and caring for more than 2,500 individuals daily.

Responsibilities

  • Vacuums and cleans carpets and floors throughout the building including resident rooms, hall carpets, and other large areas as directed; responds to requests for removal of various spills and/or stains from residents and staff.
  • Identifies cause and determines method of removing stains from floors, carpets, and furniture using a variety of cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Strips, waxes, and polishes floors as directed; maintains hard floors with proper procedures.
  • Extracts carpets as directed.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of floor and carpet maintenance with nursing and housekeeping staff.
  • Provides services for Independent Living residents within the Additional Care Services program.
  • Uses proper chemicals and correct mixtures.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement of 18.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of floor care experience with basic knowledge of floor care equipment.
  • Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
  • Pass a background check.

Schedule

  • Part-time with the possibility of full-time.
  • Monday - Friday.
  • 25 hours per week.
