Floating Maintenance Technician
This is a Floating Maintenance Technician position responsible for providing support to various communities in the Denver area as needed. This role requires flexibility and willingness to travel between different locations within the specified region.
About the role
As a Service Technician Floater, you will support various properties in the Avanti portfolio, ensuring the appearance and operations of the property remain in excellent condition, both inside and out. Daily responsibilities include preparing units for new move-ins, performing work orders (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), appliance repairs, unit inspections, updating logs, and exterior maintenance. This role also includes responding to after-hours emergencies (on-call).
Responsibilities
- Prepare units for move-ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
- Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager; report any emergency work orders in a timely manner.
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance and on-call duties.
- Complete grounds pick-up, sweeping, and light landscaping such as mulch and sprinkler head replacements.
- Manage snow removal (CO, KS, UT) or hurricane preparation and cleanup (FL).
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills and maintain clear, professional communication with residents, vendors, and team members.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ years of relevant experience required.
- OSHA, EPA, and CPO license/certifications preferred.
- Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
- Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and up-to-date vehicle insurance is required.
- If minimum qualifications are met, a Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required.

Pay
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
