About the role
As a Floating Leasing Consultant, you’ll cover multiple communities across Charlotte, stepping into different leasing offices and performing at a high level regardless of the site. This role involves moving between properties, handling quick model checks, tours, and urgent leasing tasks—often all in the same morning.

- Collect deposits, execute lease agreements, and ensure residents complete move-in with clean files and confirmed renter’s insurance.
- Handle renewals by preparing documents and meeting with residents to maintain occupancy.
- Monitor curb appeal and coordinate with maintenance to ensure properties are move-in ready.
- Stay updated on local competition and keep digital lead sources active (social media, listing platforms, property websites).
- Respond quickly to leads—speed and follow-through are critical to success.
Requirements
- Prior leasing experience preferred; customer service or sales background considered.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office; OneSite or AppFolio experience is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Valid driver’s license, current insurance, and reliable transportation (regular travel between sites).
- Ability to stand, walk, and move through properties for extended periods.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Life insurance and short/long-term disability.
- 401k retirement plan.
- Paid vacation, sick time, and volunteer time.
Pay
$24 to $25 per hour plus commission.
Why this role?
The floating format is ideal for consultants aiming to advance into assistant manager or property manager roles. Exposure to multiple sites, rent rolls, and lease-up scenarios provides broader operational experience than a single-site role.
