About the role

We're seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the property manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the property. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Affirming efficient operations
  • Overseeing supplier contracts and maintenance
  • Lease administration
  • Monthly reporting
  • Ensuring a positive experience for residents, associates, and property owners
  • Maintaining all accounts receivable
  • Completing daily, weekly, and monthly financial and leasing reports
  • Auditing records and files
  • Collecting delinquent account balances
  • Processing evictions
  • Leasing apartments as needed
  • Shopping competitive properties
  • Inspecing buildings and grounds
  • Assisting the property manager with training staff
  • Assisting with resident relations and problem resolution
  • Assuming responsibility for property operations in absence of the property manager
  • Complying with company policies, health and safety rules, and applicable laws

Requirements

  • High school diploma with a bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two to three years of property management experience
  • Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities
  • Real estate license preferred or required in some locations
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar systems
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to relay technical concerns accurately and quickly
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to cope with and defuse difficult situations
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
