Floater Teacher

A Child's Place of McHenry is a licensed childcare center seeking Floater Teachers to support infants through PreK age groups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass all background checks
• Previous childcare experience is a plus
• Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements as necessary
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care for children

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00/hour, based on education and experience
