Join the support team at Reach For The Stars Childcare & Preschool in Essex Jct., VT as a Floater / Substitute. This role pays $18 – $21/Hr and requires relevant professional experience.

What You'll Do

• Provide coverage during lunch breaks so teachers can recharge and refocus
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to meet the daily needs of our children with kindness and care
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment by participating in daily cleaning routines and assisting with laundry
• Step in to cover staff absences, ensuring our classrooms continue to run smoothly
• Help organize supplies, restock materials, and maintain a well-ordered and prepared space

Role Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Hold a high school diploma or GED
• Meet one of the following early childhood education requirements:

• Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 1 or Level 2 Certificate
• Current Child Development Associate (CDA) plus at least 12 months of experience working with children in grade 3 or younger
• State Board of Education–approved Human Services Program Certificate with a focus on child development or early childhood education plus at least 12 months of experience with children in grade 3 or younger
• Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate plus at least 12 months of experience with children in grade 3 or younger
