About This Role We are seeking a versatile and adaptable Floater/Substitute Teacher to support our educational team in Woodstock, VA. In this role, you will step into various classrooms to provide seamless coverage, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity of care and instruction for students of varying age groups when primary teachers are absent or need assistance. What You'll Do Lead daily classroom activities and execute lesson plans left by the primary teacherSupervise students closely to ensure a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environmentAdapt quickly to different classroom routines, age groups, and teaching styles throughout the dayAssist with classroom management, transitions, meals, and clean-up activitiesMaintain clear communication with school administration and permanent staff regarding student progress or incidents Requirements High school diploma or equivalent qualificationProven experience working with children in a structured environment, such as a school, daycare, or campStrong adaptability, patience, and excellent classroom management skillsAbility to pass all required Virginia state background checks and fingerprintingReliable transportation to and from the facility in Woodstock, VA Nice To Haves Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or coursework in Early Childhood EducationValid CPR and First Aid certificationsExperience working as a substitute teacher in local Virginia school districtsFlexible availability to accept short-notice or same-day assignments
