About the role
This is a full-time position located onsite at our Community Health Center partners in Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly adapt to different pharmacy workflows and team dynamics to maintain high levels of productivity.
- Identify and resolve site-specific operational bottlenecks or backlog issues upon arrival at a new location to ensure consistent service levels across the district.
- Perform final verification on all prescriptions with 100% accuracy maintaining the highest standards of safety and accuracy.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of high-value specialty medications (e.g., cold chain management).
- Maintain strict compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Drive clinical intake and navigate benefits investigations.
- Provide specialized counseling to patients on complex therapy regimens.
- Document clinical interventions and monitor patient adherence/side effects.
- Collaborate with providers to manage Prior Authorizations and Appeals.
- Provide clear, empathetic medication counseling, including specialized education for patients on complex specialty therapy regimens as needed.
- Act as a clinical resource for patients and healthcare providers regarding drug interactions and therapy management.
- Resolve insurance adjudication issues and complex billing hurdles.
Requirements
- PharmD, BS in Pharmacy, or equivalent FPGEC (NABP).
- Unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Ohio.
- BLS/CPR is required (or must be willing to obtain).
- Immunization delivery certification is preferred.
- 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
- PGY1 residence or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.
- Comfortable with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct patient care experience in pharmacy is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field.
- Preferred PGY1 residency or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred immunization delivery certification.
Skills

- Experience with electronic health records and pharmacy management systems.
