Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional member service to all Members, volunteers, internal employees, and service providers.
- Explain products and services to Members to meet their needs; cross-sell RCU, RCU Investment Services, RCU Insurance Services, and RCU Auto Services products and services.
- Establish basic products and services for Members.
- Provide information to Members’ questions or direct them to the appropriate person or department for assistance.
- Safeguard Member information and ensure confidentiality by following established policy and procedures.
- Complete Members’ transactions accurately and efficiently using established policies and procedures; balance cash, checks, and maintain proper documentation.
- Attend and contribute to departmental meetings; perform branch opening and closing duties.
- Complete orders for Credit Union forms and supplies; participate in Credit Union committees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
- At least six months of experience in retail sales and cash handling.
- Ability to count and balance cash.
- Ability to effectively cross-sell products and services using a needs-based sales approach.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including rotating Saturdays.
- Ability to learn new products, services, procedures, technology, and concepts.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of basic math principles and financial institution products and services.
- Skilled in the operation of office equipment, including personal computers with Internet and intranet access.
Additional Requirements for Floater Position
- Ability to travel frequently from branch location to branch location.
- Ability to maintain a valid California Driver’s License and/or flexibility with transportation to provide support to changing locations as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, with at least six months of retail sales and cash handling experience.
Pay
Base starting range: $23.00 to $29.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. This position qualifies for a 5% Floater Differential in addition to the base pay. The base salary starting range is based on the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
