Floater/Fill-in Cleaner

About the role

Join Platinum Cleaning & Facility Services (PCFS), a division of Healthcare Services Group, Inc., as a Floater/Fill-in Cleaner. You will oversee janitorial cleaning and facilities maintenance operations, performing a variety of day-to-day tasks across multiple sites as needed. Floaters/Fill-ins may cover shifts for Cleaners and/or Restroom Cleaners, assist with projects or work orders, and handle additional tasks. This role requires organization, dedication, and the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously. You will work with management to create an effective cleaning schedule based on daily needs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all restrooms, re-stock supplies as needed, disinfect high-touch areas, and maintain overall cleanliness.
• Receive, acknowledge, and complete work orders assigned during your shift.
• Respond to management requests in a timely manner and adjust schedule based on client or management needs.
• Check and disinfect elevator cabs and call buttons according to schedule.
• Proactively address cleaning issues in common areas, remove trash, and clean up spills immediately.
• Maintain clear communication with the Account Supervisor or Account Manager.
• Clean scuff marks from walls, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect private restrooms.
• Vacuum carpets thoroughly, including hard-to-reach areas.
• Maintain storage closets cleaned and organized at all times.
• Keep cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition; report malfunctions to team lead or supervisor.
• Perform project work such as cleaning lights, lamps, window washing, etc.
• Cover floors when employees call off.
• Clean stairwells, signage, escalators, and elevators.
• Use miscellaneous flooring equipment as needed.
• Assist team lead and supervisor with any additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt and work as a team to complete daily tasks, projects, and work orders on time.
• Polite and respectful interaction with clients, guests, and co-workers.
• No experience required; some experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift items up to 25 lbs. while moving around.
• Ability to climb ladders, bend, and perform other physical duties.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 100% of the working time.

Pay

Starting from USD $17.75 per hour.
