Floater/Fill-in Cleaner

About the role

Floaters/Fill-ins perform a variety of day-to-day cleaning tasks and may take on different roles across multiple sites as needed. Duties include covering shifts for Cleaners or Restroom Cleaners, assisting with projects or work orders, and handling additional tasks. You must be organized, dedicated, and able to manage multiple duties simultaneously. Work with management to create and adjust your cleaning schedule based on daily needs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all restrooms, re-stock supplies, disinfect high-touch areas, and maintain overall cleanliness.
• Receive, acknowledge, and complete work orders assigned during your shift.
• Respond to management requests in a timely manner and adjust schedule based on client or management needs.
• Disinfect elevator cabs and call buttons according to schedule.
• Proactively address cleaning issues in common areas.
• Remove trash from restrooms and common areas.
• Clean up spills immediately.
• Maintain clear communication with the Account Supervisor or Account Manager.
• Clean scuff marks from walls, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect private restrooms.
• Vacuum carpets thoroughly, including hard-to-reach areas.
• Keep storage closets cleaned and organized at all times.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment; report malfunctions to team lead or supervisor.
• Perform project work such as cleaning lights, lamps, and windows.
• Cover floors when employees call off.
• Clean stairwells, signage, escalators, and elevators.
• Use miscellaneous flooring equipment as needed.
• Assist team lead and supervisor with any additional tasks as required.

Requirements

• Adaptability and ability to work as a team to complete tasks on time.
• Polite and respectful interaction with clients, guests, and co-workers.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Skills

• No experience required; some experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical duties such as climbing ladders, bending, and standing/walking for up to 100% of the working time.

Pay

Starting from USD $17.75 per hour.
