Floater/Fill-in Cleaner

About the role

Join Platinum Cleaning & Facility Services (PCFS), a division of Healthcare Services Group, Inc., as a Floater/Fill-in Cleaner. You will oversee janitorial cleaning and facilities maintenance operations, primarily covering shifts and assisting with various tasks across multiple sites. Floaters perform a variety of day-to-day cleaning tasks, including covering shifts for Cleaners and Restroom Cleaners, assisting with projects or work orders, and handling additional tasks as needed. You will work with management to create an effective cleaning schedule based on daily needs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all restrooms, re-stock supplies as needed, disinfect high-touch areas, and maintain overall cleanliness.
• Receive, acknowledge, and complete work orders assigned during your shift.
• Respond to management requests in a timely manner and adjust schedule based on clients’ needs.
• Disinfect elevator cabs and call buttons according to schedule.
• Proactively address cleaning issues in common areas.
• Remove trash from receptacles in restrooms and common areas.
• Clean up spills immediately.
• Maintain clear communication with the Account Supervisor or Account Manager.
• Clean scuff marks from walls, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect private restrooms.
• Vacuum carpets thoroughly, including hard-to-reach areas.
• Maintain storage closets cleaned and organized at all times.
• Keep cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition; report malfunctions to team lead or supervisor.
• Perform project work such as cleaning lights, lamps, window washing, etc.
• Cover floors when employees call off.
• Clean stairwells, signage, escalators, and elevators.
• Use miscellaneous flooring equipment as needed.
• Assist team lead and supervisor with any additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt and work as a team to complete tasks on time and within company expectations.
• Polite and respectful interaction with clients, guests, and co-workers.
• No experience required; some experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Skills

• Organized and able to handle multiple duties simultaneously.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift items up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders, bend, and perform other physical tasks.
• Spend up to 100% of working time standing and walking.

Pay

Starting from USD $17.75 per hour.
