(Floater) Facility Attendant

About the Role

We are searching for a Facility Attendant to perform a variety of functions related to the upkeep of assigned buildings, grounds, and facilities. The Facility Attendant ensures the center is clean, neat, and orderly to promote health, safety, and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Follows and completes CentroMed’s daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule.
• Keeps all indoor work areas free of debris and trash.
• Disinfects and cleans trash cans, changing bags daily.
• Inspects all clinic areas frequently.
• Sweeps hallways, waiting areas, office floors, breakrooms, and stairs daily.
• Cleans and disinfects public and staff restrooms to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Mops floors in waiting areas, breakrooms, bathrooms, offices, and classrooms daily.
• Vacuums all carpets daily.
• Sweeps and clears entrance walkways.
• Maintains grounds and parking lots free of trash and debris.
• Monitors cleaning supply inventory and informs Clinic Director of needed supplies.
• Keeps cleaning equipment and storage areas orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Reports the following to the Clinic Director or designated staff:
  • Presence of animals, vermin, or insects in the building.
  • Water leaks and other maintenance needs (e.g., light bulb replacement).
  • All other health and safety hazards noticed.
• Participates in emergency drills and environmental safety activities as requested.
• Attends and participates in CentroMed’s pre-service and in-service trainings.
• Complies with OSHA regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (nitrile latex gloves, mask, and/or gowns) and adhering to Work Practice Controls (e.g., no eating, drinking, or applying makeup in utility rooms).
• Performs other duties as specified in the job description addendum or as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Must meet attendance requirements.
• Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted.
• Able to deliver excellent customer service, both externally and internally.
• Able to work a flexible schedule and travel if needed.
• Must follow proper lifting techniques and review addendum on avoiding back injuries.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of general custodial practices and floor care.
• General understanding of safety procedures for working with dust, chemicals, and other hazards.
• Experience: Minimum of one year as a custodian.
