Float Teller

About the role

This position will fulfill the duties of a teller by traveling as needed between multiple offices. The teller will be based at our Clarion location but may travel to all other branches in the district. Personal and reliable transportation is required due to travel with little or no advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Operate and balance a terminal and cash drawer daily.
• Accept and process customer transactions including savings, checking, Holiday Savings accounts, loan payments, SDB rental payments, tax deposits, money orders, official checks, and cash withdrawals.
• Accept checks for cashing in accordance with FNB check handling procedures.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of bank products and services; recognize customer needs and cross-sell bank products.
• Participate in the bank’s referral and incentive program using applicable technology to show results.
• Work consistently to achieve personal and branch-set goals.
• Complete all required training courses, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money Laundering procedures.
• Assist the vault teller with duties related to money shipments and orders.
• Perform additional branch duties outside transaction processing as needed.
• Handle cash, customer transactions, and information in accordance with FNB Security Policy and Procedures.
• Make outbound sales calls to current and prospective clients.
• Maintain flexibility with work schedules to accommodate branch staffing needs.
• Keep all customer business and personal information confidential.
• Accept responsibilities and projects assigned by supervisors to add value to the bank.
• Work positively in a team environment with coworkers and the public.
• Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations.
• Ensure regular, predictable attendance.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or General Education degree (GED).
• Proven cash handling experience.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment (calculator, typewriter, phone, fax machine, etc.).
• Customer service and/or sales experience at any level.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel between branches with little or no advance notice.
