FLOAT Registered Nurse

About the role

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families in an outpatient setting.
• Work alongside and support technicians, other nurses, dietitians, social workers, physicians and the center manager.
• Oversee a group of patients (census dependent on state laws) with the support of PCTs to conduct patient observations, measuring stats and machine set up.
• Deliver specialized, complex care to patients dealing with multiple co-morbidities.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, covering various shifts including early morning or days shifts.
• Float to various clinics ranging from Lehi to Price, Utah.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance in state of residence.
• Minimum 9 months RN experience post-graduation.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
• A flexible schedule and ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way.

Qualifications

• No Dialysis experience is required to start.
• Training may take place in American Fork or another nearby clinic.
• Float to various clinics during and after your training (From Lehi to Price).

Skills

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience is a nice-to-have.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
• Previous Chronic Hemodialysis, Acute Dialysis and/or Home Hemodialysis (HHD) nursing experience.
• Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background.
