Float Project Technician
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Float Project Technician with professional painting experience to support painting, facility maintenance, room renovations, and improvement projects at two healthcare facilities: Wilshire at Lakewood and Seasons Rehab and Healthcare Center (facilities are only 15 minutes from each other). This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys completing a variety of projects.
About the role
The primary focus of this role will be interior painting, room renovations, paint preparation, touch-ups, and general facility improvement projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to travel between both facilities based on project needs.
Responsibilities
- Complete interior painting projects, including resident rooms, common areas, hallways, offices, and other facility spaces.
- Perform paint preparation, including patching, sanding, caulking, taping, and priming.
- Complete paint touch-ups and maintain a high-quality finished appearance.
- Assist with resident room renovations and remodeling projects.
- Assist with facility maintenance and general repair projects as needed.
- Help prepare rooms for renovations, including moving and protecting furniture and equipment.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures when using tools, ladders, paint, and other materials.
- Coordinate with facility leadership and maintenance staff regarding project priorities and timelines.
- Travel between Wilshire at Lakewood and Seasons Rehab based on project needs.
- Communicate project progress and any concerns to facility leadership.
- Complete projects in a timely manner while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Perform other maintenance, renovation, and facility improvement duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous professional painting experience is required.
- Experience with interior painting and surface preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Reliable and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to travel between two facilities.
- Ability to work respectfully in a healthcare environment around residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Experience in maintenance, construction, remodeling, renovations, or facilities maintenance.
- Experience with drywall repair, patching, caulking, or basic carpentry.
- Experience working in a healthcare, senior living, nursing home, rehabilitation, or long-term care environment.
