Float Pool Registered Nurse RN PRN
Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Float pool, you will float throughout the facility to all the units within your scope of practice, including ICU's, Telemetry Units, Medical/Surgical Units, and Behavioral Health. Your primary function includes providing clinical and administrative support on the unit, creating and implementing a care plan that meets each patient's needs, coordinating unit activities, and ensuring accountability of all assigned tasks. You will also instruct and educate patients and their family members, administer medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs. Additionally, you will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
- Required minimum of three years of acute care experience with demonstrated and proven competency in several specialty areas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
