About the role

Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Primary Care Department at Baptist Primary Care Float Pool in Jacksonville, Florida. This PRN position requires working 12 shifts per month across 3 different geographical regions around Jacksonville. The candidate will work from various Primary Care office locations, performing duties such as rooming patients and answering clinical calls. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to different office needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance to physicians
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visits
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Requirements

• 2 years of patient care experience
• Experience in a physician's office

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Associate's degree (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (Required)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) (Required)
