About the role
As a Float Phlebotomist, you will gain diverse experience by working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. This role is ideal for those who thrive in dynamic environments and seek continuous growth within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Requirements
- Valid Washington-issued Phlebotomy License or an application filed with the Washington Department of Health at time of hire
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist preferred
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Pay
Pay Range: $21.87 to $32.28 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21.
Float Incentive: Additional $2.00/hourly plus mileage reimbursement.
Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program: Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, hours vary between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays.
