Float Patient Care Technician - CCHT required

About the role

A Patient Care Technician (PCT) is needed to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. The PCT provides direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, assisting patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
  • Maintain a sterile environment and ensure proper infection control
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
  • Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
  • Record vital signs and patient data accurately
  • Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
  • Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements

  • Accredited High School diploma, GED credential, or equivalent
  • Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
  • Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
  • Willing to float between local clinics if needed
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
