Float MA , Medical Assistant

Full time position in Primary Care, floating across North locations.

About the role

The Medical Assistant will function within the State of Ohio scope of practice to administer direct care to patients, under the direction of the provider, registered nurse, and practice manager, following all policies and procedures for Mount Carmel Health System, Mount Carmel Medical Group, and department-specific guidelines.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care within Ohio’s defined scope of practice.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of medical experience, or a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in science/health, or completion of a medical-assistant program (preferred), or EMT, EMT-P, or Military Medical Corpsman training (preferred).
• For MCMG roles: nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification or Registration (preferred).
• One to two years of medical-assisting experience (preferred); in lieu of required education, two to three years of previous medical-office experience is accepted.
• Current BLS/CPR certification, which must be maintained.
