Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results in the practice’s designated system.
• Maintain OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.
• Provide whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps.
• Maintain confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information.
• Support staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and co‑workers when necessary.
• Perform clinical intake according to policy and procedures, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
• Assist with minor procedures associated with specialty and ensure accurate documentation at the time of service or results.
• Educate patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear and accurate instructions.
• Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems [Required]
• Ability to function and assist others in stressful, fast‑paced environments and effectively apply stress management techniques [Required]
• Ability to resolve issues and work independently within the scope of their certification [Required]
• Ability to exercise sound judgement, diplomacy and a professional demeanor [Required]
• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements [Required]
• Experience with computers required [Required]
• High School Graduate or Equivalent [Required]
• 1+ year of related work experience [Preferred]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Certification (BLS) [Required]
• One of the following medical assistant certifications [Required]: CMA (AAMA), CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA
• Must comply with Florida Level 2 background screening (fingerprinting) as required by state law.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.28 – $27.65 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time position requiring availability Sunday–Saturday, 7 am–8 pm; 40 hours per week within those hours.
