About the Role

FastMed Urgent Care seeks an experienced Float Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) capable of working at assigned clinic locations providing direct patient care. The provider will travel to assigned clinic locations as needed to support clinic operations, delivering fantastic care and creating unforgettable patient experiences.

Assigned FastMed Clinic Locations:

  • Winston Stratford
  • Greensboro Battleground
  • High Point Skeet
  • Salisbury

Responsibilities

  • Provide acute medical care to patients of all ages while supporting and complying with established standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray and laboratory tests.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with clinic managers and staff in a collegial and professional manner.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of patient medical records and confidentiality.
  • Participate in assigned meetings and training as directed.
  • Use Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in North Carolina from an accredited program.
  • At least 2 years of experience; urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred.
  • BLS Certified.
  • Active and unrestricted DEA license to practice in North Carolina.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Willingness to travel and work at assigned clinic locations.

Note: Float providers are not eligible for “hot shift” incentives or mileage reimbursement between assigned clinics. If asked to travel outside of assigned clinics, mileage reimbursement policy will apply.
