About the role
Flight Training Coordinators are integral to the pilot training program, ensuring essential training needs are met. They facilitate schedules for classes, from Indoctrination through Flight Training Devices and Simulators, up to Initial Operation Experience (IOE).
Responsibilities
- Oversee pilot training plans and adjust as necessary.
- Use critical thinking to solve problems and improve training efficiency.
- Coordinate with Training Managers to address and resolve training issues.
- Communicate daily tasks and important information to team members.
- Maintain TSA security requirements for foreign nationals entering simulator sessions.
- Utilize various software tools like Fox Britannica, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Power BI, Outlook, and Teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information.
- Plan and coordinate recurrent training events, booking simulator and flight training device times, and coordinating resources.
- Manage check airmen and instructor schedules for training events.
- React to changes in training needs and plan for future requirements.
- Show strong attention to detail to track pilot training progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of Microsoft OS and Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to new software programs.
- Self-starter with previous airline industry experience preferred.
- Prioritize and solve problems using common sense and established precedents.
- Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills.
