About the Role

This position is for a level 2 Systems Integration/Test Engineer (SI/TE) within Production Operations for the F-16 product line of flight simulators, including the Full Mission Trainers (FMT), and various testbed devices for software development. The role involves integrating deliverable hardware and software during production testing in Orlando and delivering advanced Training Devices to customers at US and international locations. The work directly impacts pilot proficiency and real-world tactical effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Integration Test Procedures for COTS/GOTS components, elements, software, subsystems, and/or systems.
  • Create production setup procedures for repeatable processes based on hardware drawings and applicable software to efficiently configure system components and network settings.
  • Travel to US and international customer sites to install and test F-16 Training Devices (flight simulators).
  • Identify procedure and equipment required for testing and evaluating production devices at Orlando and customer sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (US citizenship required).
  • Experience in test procedure development, execution, and results documentation.

Desired Skills

  • Experience using DOORS and requirements decomposition.
  • Previous experience as a system administrator.
  • Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence Atlassian web-based tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex designs and create test solutions that optimize quality, cost, and schedule variables.
  • Knowledgeable in hardware (servers, switches, I/O modules, and interface panels) and software (Linux OS, Windows OS, and VMware).
  • Experience identifying hardware-induced or software-induced errors from unexpected test results.
  • Experience with installation, administration, and configuration of Windows and Linux OS’s (RHEL, SLES [SUSE]).
  • Experience with computer rack cabling, hard drive cloning, installing software licenses, IP configuration, performing firmware updates, and system hardening.

Schedule

This position follows a 4x10-hour day schedule, with 3 days off per week.
