Flight Paramedic

About the role

Join a team responsible for safe patient transport via air ambulance, including scene call work and transfers to medical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records promptly
• Perform daily base checks and narcotic counts
• Provide advanced life support care from initial contact until handoff to medical facilities
• Maintain proficiency through ongoing training and documentation of licensure and certifications
• Operate and maintain emergency equipment and supplies
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public
• Participate as a team member during flights, pre-mission briefings, and debriefings
• Assist with aircraft safety, pre-mission checklists, and pilot support as needed
• Ensure safety standards are met for crew, patients, and equipment
• Fill open shifts as assigned

Requirements

• At least three years’ experience in 911 or critical care settings
• Current EMT-P license in the area served
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) within 24 months of hire
• Preferred instructor certifications and NREMT-P in some areas
