About the Role
The Flight Paramedic provides advanced pre-hospital and intra-hospital care during air transportation, ensuring patient safety and high-quality medical services. They operate aircraft safely, assist with pre-mission procedures, maintain thorough documentation of patient care and equipment, and adhere to safety standards. The role also involves supporting crew coordination and participating in briefings.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients safely to and from medical facilities and scene calls
- Complete patient care documentation and electronic patient records
- Conduct daily base checks and safety procedures
- Assist in pre-mission and aircraft safety procedures
- Maintain professional competence through ongoing training
- Support crew and aircraft operations, including shift coverage as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in 911 or critical care settings
- Current EMT-P license in the designated area
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma; FP-C within 24 months
- Knowledge of medical equipment and safety protocols
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior flight experience
- Instructor certifications
