About the role
We are seeking a Flight Nurse responsible for delivering high-quality critical care during patient transport in helicopter settings.
Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and treat patients under stressful conditions.
- Administer medicines and provide advanced life support in confined, noisy environments.
- Collaborate with Flight Paramedics to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Accredited nursing education and current RN licensure, including in states with licensure compacts.
- Minimum of three years' experience in ER or Critical Care settings.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, with additional certifications such as ITLS/PHTLS, ATLS, and FP-C or CCP-C within specified timeframes.
- Proficiency with cardiac monitors, ventilators, intubation, infusion pumps, and computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Nursing.
- Previous flight paramedic experience.
- CEN or CCRN certifications.
Physical Requirements
- Pass an annual fitness test and meet weight restrictions.
- Ability to tolerate flight environmental stressors and perform physically demanding duties such as lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and various movements.
