Flight Nurse

About the role

The Flight Nurse joins a team specializing in air patient transport and scene call work. The role involves assessing critical care situations, supporting adult and pediatric patients, and collaborating with air and ground teams to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage critically ill or injured patients in flight
• Ensure aircraft safety, cleanliness, and equipment readiness
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate documentation and certifications
• Uphold safety and service standards
• Maintain a safe aircraft environment, managing equipment and adhering to safety standards

Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• At least three years of experience in Emergency or Critical Care
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) credential required within 24 months of hire
• State-specific RN licensure
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and ongoing training

Preferred qualifications

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications
