Flight Nurse

About the role

Join a team dedicated to safely transporting patients via air ambulance and scene call work.

Responsibilities

• Assess critical care situations and determine appropriate interventions.
• Manage adult and pediatric patients with critical injuries or illnesses, supporting physician orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, ensuring equipment and safety standards are met.
• Collaborate effectively with air and ground teams, dispatch, and partners, and share shift change information.
• Keep accurate documentation and records per protocols.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in relevant states and EMT certification if required.
• Necessary certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (provided during training), and trauma certification where needed.
• Preferred: prior flight experience and instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
• Advanced certifications (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) required within 24 months of hire.
