Job Description

• Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing patient assessments, including physical and mental status, and report appropriate information to the responsible physician.
• Observe and monitor patient lab work for trends, report abnormal lab tests, and obtain appropriate interventions.
• Utilize clinical data to implement appropriate interventions and document the plan of care involving the patient, family, and/or significant other.
• Demonstrate critical‑thinking skills when analyzing cardiac rhythms and provide safe, competent care.
• Provide individualized goal‑directed nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of nursing care.
• Prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries ordered, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
• Administer medications accurately and appropriately, including PO, SQ, IV, IV PUSH, IVPB, IM, SL, PR, topical, and intradermal.
• Respond to and participate in unit and hospital code situations, treating patients according to BLS and ACLS protocols.
• Provide competent and compassionate care to patients with pain according to policy and mission.
• Maintain a safe patient‑care environment, including following fall‑risk specifications and ensuring proper use of restraints.
• Supervise and guide permanent and temporary nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient‑care outcomes.
• Communicate patient updates to physicians and receiving units, ensuring timely and accurate documentation for patient handoff and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic ability to navigate Microsoft Office apps (Preferred)

Education

• Associate degree (Preferred)
• Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program
• Science degree in a health‑related field
• TPATC Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course

Work Experience

• 1+ year experience in either fixed‑wing or rotor aircraft (Preferred)
• 5+ years continuous experience in an EMS or critical‑care transport system (Required)

Licenses and Certifications

• Licensed Paramedic (PARA) – Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required
• Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS) – Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Required
• Driver’s License (DL) – Required
• Critical Care Paramedic – Certified (CCP‑C) – Preferred
• Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) – Preferred
• Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) – Preferred
• Flight Paramedic – Certified (FP‑C) – Preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – Preferred
• Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention Program – Preferred
• Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) – Preferred
• International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) – Preferred
• Hip and Knee Replacement (HKR) – Preferred

Pay Range

$23.10 – $42.96 per hour
